Section 36 Application for Brunt Hill Wind Farm submitted to the Energy Consents Unit

Brunt Hill Ltd. has submitted a Planning Application under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit (ECU) seeking consent for the Brunt Hill Wind Farm. This application also applies for a direction under Section 57(2) of the Town and County Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 for planning permission for the development to be granted.

The consultation period for the planning application commences on 17 May 2024 and will run until 28 June 2024. Any persons wishing to make a formal representation should do so by contacting the ECU on their website, by email or by post, quoting the application reference ECU00004654. We also continue to welcome comments and feedback on our proposals at any stage of the application, although please note these will not count as formal representations. Brunt Hill Wind Farm proposals put out to public consultation

The proposed Brunt Hill Wind Farm and associated infrastructure (including battery storage) is being put to public consultation.

    • 17th May – 3:30pm – 6:30pm
    • 28th June – 3:30pm – 6:30pm
